On the morning of November 16th, the Expert Report Meeting of the 6th Erudite Forum of the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology was successfully held in the Lixue Lecture Hall on the Changping Campus.
For this Expert Report Meeting of the Erudite Forum, Professor Cao Pengfei, who is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, and Professor Duan Shun, who is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the vice dean and the winner of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, were invited to share their academic achievements. The report meeting was chaired by Professor Li Xiaofeng from the College of Materials Science and Engineering.
Professor Cao Pengfei was invited to give a special report titled Design, Synthesis and Energy Applications of Functional Elastomeric Polymers. Combining his years of research experience and academic accumulation, Professor Cao explained in a simple and accessible way the innovative design methods, synthesis strategies and the potential application value of functional elastomeric polymers in the energy field. This report not only deepened the students' understanding of functional elastomeric polymers and their energy applications, but also inspired the interest and enthusiasm of young students to engage in new material research.

Professor Duan Shun was invited to give a special report titled Antibacterial Functionalization of Medical Material Surfaces and Its Applications. Professor Duan elaborated in detail on the design and preparation of antibacterial surfaces of medical materials as well as their applications in medical scenarios. Professor Duan Shun's wonderful report built a platform for the teachers and students of our university to communicate with top domestic scholars, broadened the horizons of the students in the field of medical material research, and brought an academic feast with rich content and profound inspiration to the teachers and students present.
